A router setup is about as easy or hard as setting up a cell phone. In many cases, the customer gets the router from his provider and can use a feature to automatically set up the router. But if this not the case or you have bought the router yourself, all necessary data must be entered by the user himself. The procedure is similar for all routers since they have to work with every internet access. If you want to set up your router, you should definitely have the manual of the router and the access data that you got from the provider. The router settings can be easily monitored using the mobile application or by using the classic web address routerlogin.net.
To access any router using web utility, open a web browser and type routerlogin.net or www.routerlogin.net in the address bar of your browser. A login screen will appear use username as admin and password as password. Default website for router login is http://routerlogin.net, the default IP address for router login is 192.168.1.1 to access any model of router login page. To access any modem router login, you can use the same address.

To access any router login webpage remotely, you need to turn on the remote management feature on your wireless router. To use this feature, log in to your router login page using the web address routerlogin.net or www.routerlogin.net, a login screen will appear, enter your login credentials, then click on advance settings option >> remote management. Click on the save option after turning on the remote management feature on your Wi-Fi router, note the IP address ending with port: 8080. With this local IP address, you can access the router login webpage while you are outside your home location from any other private or public network. Finally, by having access to the router login webpage remotely you can access, monitor, and change your Wi-Fi router settings.
Setup of Router using Router App
Download the app from Apple app store or play store for android. When you open the app, it will guide you to the installation of the router. The second method is you can do the setup using www.routerlogin.net. Connect a laptop or computer to the network of the router. Open a browser and type routerlogin.net. Press enter and type in the default username and password. The main web interface will open and there you see the setup wizard. Finally, just follow the instructions of the setup wizard and complete the setup process.
Routerlogin.net not working
As this is a common issue with the routers, so we are providing a solution for this issue here.
1. Make sure you are entering the correct web address. Check the spelling of the web address. The correct one is routerlogin.net
2. Use IP address 192.168.1.1 if the web address is not working. One and the same thing as this IP address also redirects you to the router login page.
3. Clear the cache memory of the browser you are using to access the login page.
4. Try with a different browser. If you’re accessing using internet explorer then close it and download a new browser such as Google Chrome. Open that and try again.
5. Make sure you setup before accessing the web interface of the router. Moreover, make sure the modem is connected to the router and you are receiving internet from the modem. Your computer should be connected to the right network.
6. If still not working then you need expert advice or nay need to set up your router again.
7. You may also need to reset the router and then set it up again.
Setting Internet Connection Manually
- Firstly perform the router login using the above steps.
- Now select “Internet”. This will display the internet setup page.
- Select the “No” radio button for the question asked – “Does your internet connection require a login?”
- Add the account name or hostname of your internet network.
- Then add a domain name (if required) of this network.
- You will see a radio button corresponding to the internet IP. Here you can select Dynamic ID or the static ID.
- In the dynamically setting of the ID, you have to mention the ID as provided by your internet service provider.
- The statically setting of the ID, first enter the IP address then the IP subnet mask, and the gateway IP address. These fields can be consulted by your ISP. This is a must part of the router login.
- The next step is to select a domain name server address.
- DNS address can be used directly as provided by your ISP.
- Thereafter, the next part of the router login is to select a router MAC address radio button.
- Here first option available is to use the default MAC address. You can get its entire information at routerlogin.net.
- Another option is you can choose the computer’s MAC address.
- Else you can also provide the MAC address as per your choice.
- Click “Apply” and finally, click Test your internet connection.
